JACK’S COUNT WINS AGAIN

Randwick (N.Z Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, May 1. The New Zealand-bred Jack's Count yesterday showed at Randwick he is improving with age, by winning his second race in succession. He beat Polo Prince and Repatriate in the City Tattersall’s Autumn Handicap. At his previous start. Jack's Count won the L. G. Frazer Handicap at Warwick Farm. Jack’s Count now will tackle the Wagga Cup on May 12. If he holds his form he should be very hard to beat Jack’s Count is an aged gelding by Count Rendered (imp.), from Gold Shread. Originally the New Zealand owner, M. J. Moodabe, raced Jack’s Count In Australia, T. J. Smith has always trained him. Jack’s Count was a very good horse in New Zealand. Under Smith’s training he won six races in Australia for Mr Moodabe. The last oi these was in January last year. When Jack’s Count lost form, Mr Moodabe decided to sell him. Smith advised Mi L. Moss and Mr M. Rich to buv Jack’s Count, which cost t U l . on,y I°°° guineas at auction. Jack s Count has more than paid his way since then. Heavy betting marked yesterday’s race, in which Jack’s Count was favourite. Results
