Plunket Society Branch Ball
Seven debutantes were presented to Mr G. R. Smith, of Ashburton, at the annual ball of the Methven sub-branch of the Plunket Society, held at the Mount Hutt Memorial Hall last evening. They were presented by Mrs C. Thomson, president* of the branch. Flowers In glowing autumn tints decorated the stage and foyer of the hall as a large gathering of members and friends watched the ceremony. The debutantes were Misses Rosalie O’Reilly, Melva Lauchlan, Beverley Cavill, Margaret Jopp, Marion Molloy, Marjorie Drummond and Wendy Rountree.
