The salary for a Lecturer is within the range £l5OO-90-£2lOO per annum, plus cost of living adjustments (at present £34 p.a.), and will be subject to deductions under the State Superannuation Act. Salary will be at the rate of £3750 per annum, plus cost of living adjustments (at present £34 p.a.). Increases in University salaries are at present under discussion. There is retirement provision under the Professorial Superannuation Scheme. Grade 111. £A2070-£ A 2330 p.a LOCATION: Canberra, A.C.T., but successful applicant w ll have to make field trips as occasion demands. GENERAL: The Division is making an extensive survey of the potentialtities of the Hunter Valley (N.S.W.), and will study other areas in due course. In addition, the Division operates four field stations directed towards the agricultural exploitation of natural resources. DUTIES: To integrate the results of agronomic research at these centres in terms of developmental possibilities, and undertake investigations on existing land surveys and agronomic investigations in terms of regional land use potential. QUALIFICATIONS: University degree, preferably in Agricultural Science or Agricultural Economics, or equivalent qualifications, together with several years' experience of an appropriate nature.
