It was announced that the twenty-fifth annual report will give a history of the work through the years, and that the annual meeting will be held In August Mr Pierce Carroll, the newlyappointed secretary of the society’s executive council in Wellington, has begun his duties and the hope was expressed that he will visit Christchurch soon, said a report from the meeting. Members expressed their gratitude for an anonymous donation of £5, received from a pensioner in North Linwood, and for two legacies recently made to the branch. A well-worn doll’s pram, which had been given to the branch, had been completely renovated free of charge by a Christchurch firm.
