WOOL WARDROBE PACKS WELL
Overseas Air Travel
What to wear on an air flight round the world, and how to pack it, were demonstrated yesterday by Miss Jessie Fawsitt, sales and promotion officer for 8.0.A.C. r.irlines, at a fashion show at the D.I.C. The wardrobe was all of wool, in a great variety of weights and textures.
For the departure, a cream belted coat was shown. Tweed and knitted fabric suits were popular.
For an evening in Paris, a swathed sheath cocktail gown in black wool was modelled. An ingenious suitcase with a rack for hangers fitted into the lid was shown by Miss Fawsitt. Light metal bars were used to fold six dresses into place Shoes should be packed in plastic bags, said Miss Fawsitt. Heavy articles should be placed in the bottom of the case.
Tissue paper should be used in packing garments, she said. The most important thing was to fold articles as little as possible.
