HOMES FOR AGED IN CITY
No Progress With Plans No further progress has been made with the plans for the two homes for the aged in Christchurch. One-line drawings for the Aged Peoples’ Welfare Council home in Lyttelton street have been submitted to the Health Department but no reply has been received from them. The hospice which will be connected to Churchill Courts, being built by the Anglican Social Service Council, is still being planned in the architect's office, Mr L. M. Wilson, secretary for the council, said yesterday. This home will accommodate 26 frail and infirm aged persons.
