SMITH TO RIDE AT AVONDALE
Australian Trip Delayed •'The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, April 26. The Te Rapa light-weight rider. W. A. Smith, who was expected to leave for Australia within the next week or so, has been forced to delay his departure. It is probable now that he will be able to ride on the first two days of the Waikato winter meeting as well as at Avondale on Saturday, before he leaves for Sydney and Brisbane. It is Smith’s intention to ride during the winter in Brisbane. His mounts will include horses from Melbourne, and Karina, if she makes the trip.
