Altered Exchange Rates
The £ lost ground slightly to the United States and Canadian dollars last week, but other changes were few.
Altered telegraphic transfer exchange rates, as advised yesterday by the Bank of New South Wales, are as follows: New Zealand on— New York: buying, 2.8051 dollars to £N.Z.I (compared with 2.8057 on April 20); selling, 2.7732 dollars (2.7738). Montreal: 2.7059 dollars (2.7065); 2.6708 dollars (2.6714). Denmark: 19.60 kroner (19.59); 18.92 kroner (18.91). Italy: 1746 lire (1747); 1711 lire (1712). Sweden: 14.60 kroner (14.58); 14.26 kroner (14.24). Western Germany: 11.72 DM (11.73); 11.48 DM (same).
