FUNERAL OF CONSTABLE
Police Form Guard Of Honour
About 50 policemen marched yesterday in the funeral procession of Constable A. N. McNamara, of the Sydenham police station, who died on Saturday. They formed a guard of honour outside the Dallington Roman Catholic Church and later Sergeant J. P. Simmonds, of Sydenham, led them in a march from the gates of the Ruru Lawn Cemetery to the graveside. SeniorSergeant J. P. Mather was in charge of the parade. There were representatives of the Criminal Investigation Branch present. Chief Superintendent D. R Sugrue and Superintendent E. J. Hay attended the funeral and policemen acted as pall bearers.
