BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER
First Visit To Christchurch
The Hon. F. Cumming-Bruce, the United Kingdom High Commissioner inlNew Zealand, will pay his first jftsit to Christchurch this week, m wife will accompany him. On Tuesday morning, his first official call will be on the Mayor (Mr G. Manning). On following days he will visit the University of Canterbury, Canterbury Agricultural College and Christ’s College. On Wednesday afternoon the High Commissioner will meet officers and chairmen of committees of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce and on Thursday evening will be guest speaker at a reception given in his honour by the combined patriotic societies. Mr and Mrs Cumming-Bruce will return to Wellington by air on Friday.
