Rain In Auckland
. , but steady rain began to fall in the Auckland area on Saturday night Early yesterday afternoon, continuous, heavy rain set in and there was minor flooding in some suburban streets. Between 10 p.m. on Saturday and 5 p.m. yesterday, .86 inches of rain was recorded at Mechanics Bay. Most of this fell between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday.— (PA.)
