CHINESE CLAIM TO LADAKH
Note Reiterates Policy (N.Z. Ptcss Association—Copyright) NEW DELHI, April 11. China has again laid claims to large parts of Ladakh in India’s North-eastern Frontier Agency. The claim was made in a Chinese Note tabled before the Indian Parliament today. The Chinese Prime Minister (Mr Chou En-lai) is due in New Delhi on April 19 for talks on the border dispute. The Note said China was willing to discuss the question with a “conciliatory and reasonable attitude.” According to British United Pt-ess, the Note disputes the Indian view that the China-India boundary has been demarcated.
