Ruslan to Control Actors.— ln future, engagements of theatre artists, musicians and art and ballet directors in the major Soviet theatres will be made only by public competition. A circular issued by the Soviet Ministry of Culture said that vacancies can be filled by professional artists only. The Moscow Bolshoi and the Leningrad Kirov theatres are listed among the establishments which have to recruit their artists by public competition at the end of each theatrical season.—(Reuters)
