Waitomo Laid Up TiU May (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 12. The Union Steam Ship Company hag withdrawn the cargo ship waitomo from the New Zealand-North America trade. An announcement today said the move was purely temporary, to avoid having three ships together in Canadian and United States ports within a short time of each other. The Waitomo arrived at Vancouver from Auckland in February and her crew were paid off on completion of cargo there. This leaves the Waitemata and Waihemo to carry on the service.
