£10,000 LOTTERY WINNER
Shop Assistant At Rotorua (New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, April 12. A Rotorua shop assistant, Miss Ngaire D. Elkington, has won £ 10,000 in an overseas lottery, and she does not know what to do with the money. “I won’t really decide what to do with the £lO,OOO till I actually see the money,” she said today. t "But I’ll go on working as I’ve’ got a good job (she works in a dry cleaning shop) and a good boss. “I may buy myself a new, bigger car, and I will probably give my mother, father, and sister, with whom I live at Ngongotaha, £5OO each. “I’ve had two nibbles before, £5 wins in the same lottery, but this time I really hit the jackpot," added Miss Elkington.
