ENGINEERS’ DISPUTE
Talks Fail To Find Settlement
(New Zmumui Frau’Association/ AUCKLAND, April 11. No final decision was reached today in talks between representatives of the Auckland Engineers’ Union and employers in the dispute over the application of the 24 per cent, wage order. The meeting, lasted from 11 a.m. until 5.15 p.m., and it was decided to adjourn until 10 a,m. on Wednesday. All 500 men involved in the dispute will continue to work tomorrow. They returned to work today to allow the compulsory conference to be called by the Minister of Labour (Mr Hackett).
