PURCHASE OF FARM
Application Granted By Court An application by Tom Gordon Prebble, a retired farmer, to buy a £ 15,000 farm near Rakaia which he did not propose to live on was granted by Mr N. M. Izard, S.M., in the Land Valuation Court, yesterday. Mr W. B. T. Leete appeared for Prebble, and Mr N. H. Rawson represented the Crown. Prebble said he was buying the farm for his son, who lacked the finance necessary to purchase the property. He would be prepared to grant Ms son a lease on the farm, with the right of purchase. Mr Rawson said that the application was not strongly opposed, and the Magistrate exercised his discretion in granting the application. ,
