Auckland Laundry Profit Raised
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. April 11. Net profit of Auckland Laundry and Dry Cleaners, Ltd, rose £1368 to £9424 in the year ended January 31, after tax provision of £B3OO (an increase of £l3OO from 1958-59) and depreciation of £9788 (a decrease of £1325). As previously announced, the dividend rate has been increased from 6 to 7 per cent, which is the highest rate since the shares of the company were officially listed in 1935. The payment requires £4679 and, after writing back surplus tax of £126, the amount carried forward is increased from £10,717 to £15,570. Operating revenue expanded by £21,104 to £222,974, and operating expenses increased by £21,096 to £202,196. Income from rents and dividends was £9OO higher at £9802.
