Bid To Outstrip Britain

Fulfilment of Communist China’s 1980 economic plan and Budget will make it possible for the country to catch up and outstrip Britain in the output of major industrial products in less than 10 yean, the National People’s Congress said in a resolution approving the plans today. The resolution, issued at the closing of the current session, called on the nation to fulfil two to three yean ahead of schedule the 12-yeer agricultural development programme due to end in 1987.
