Roman Catholic Schools

St Mary's College A team won the Bishop Lyons Shield when the annual Roman Catholic secondary achools’ speaking competitions were concluded in Christchurch last evening. Fourteen teams from 11 schools took part. A The 1960 New Zealand Rugby tour to South Africa was the subject of the debating contest, won by the St. Mary’s College B team.
