RODEO PERFORMER DIES
Collapses At Linton Show (New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON N„ April 10. One of the most colourful and talented of New Zealand’s rodeo performers, Mr R. Davis, of Waitara, collapsed while acting as pick up man at the Moutoa Young Farmers’ rodeo at Linton on Saturday, and was dead when examined by a doctor. Mr Davis, who was aged 40. was in his day a very active and successful rodeo competitor. He is survived by his wife and two children. The crowd of 6000 and the 80 competitors at the rodeo observed two minutes’ silence, and afterwards a collection was made to assist his family.
