Bid For Victorian Textile Firm
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, April 5. Lincoln Mills (Australia), Ltd., Victorian spinners and knitters, has received a takeover offer from an undisclosed buyer. Directors are now considering the offer. The company made a good recovery in its latest year to September when it converted a loss of £136,718 into a profit of £69,411. However, no ordinary dividend was paid. The last balance sheet of Lincoln discloses that the ordinary 8s shares of the company have a tangible asset backing of 21s 5d and the £1 preferences of 85s 6d.
