DOUBLE AT TAURANGA
Maori Legend In First Leg "The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, April 1. The state of the going is likely to determine the prospects of a good many runners on the second day of the Bay of Plenty Racing Club’s autumn meeting at Tauranga tomorrow. If it is dry, Maori Legend Ricardo and Bright Ways may dispute the finish of the first leg, the Herries Handicap. Otherwise Ursalon might be the best prospect. Minionair, Saratoga, and Slmca might be the best of a moderate collection in the second leg, the Maunganui Handicap, of a mile and a quarter and 110 yards for hacks. The weather has been fine during the last day or two and as the forecast is for continuing fair weather, the going is not expected to be worse than easy. Selections:— 11 a.m.—Kaimal Hack Hurdles: Tarqi, Intellect, Bronze Tact. 11.45 a.m.—Papamoa Stakes: First Division: Red Slipner, Reappearance. Second Division: Baginia.
