SOUTH AFRICAN TROUBLES
Protest By Trades Council (New Zealand Press Association) GREYMOUTH, April 1. The West Coast Trades CounJfl has condemned the action of South African Government ® the recent racial troubles. The council’s president (Mr J. **nnedy) said tonight that the council endorsed the statement fcfcie by Mr F. P. Walsh, president of the New Zealand Federation of Labour, on recent events South Africa. Mr Kennedy said: “We Wrongly protest at the recent •hooting incidents that destroyed «e and maimed numerous native citizens. We are of the opinion that those who were killed, or Offered are martyrs to the cause •( freedom and social justice.”
