HAIL DAMAGE IN CASHMERE
Comment By County Chairman Tuesday afternoon’s hail storm caused “particularly severe damage” in Cashmere, the county chairman (Mr R. A. Young) told the Heathcote County Council meeting last evening. “Many residents lost windows—all of them lost their gardens," he said.
He added that damage to overhead wiring of the electrical system was “quite serious.”
