INSPECTION OF ELECTRA

Nothing Abnormal Found (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. April 1. Tasman Empire Airways’ first Electra inspection, completed at Auckland last night, revealed nothing abnormal in the aircraft, the airline announced today. The three-day inspection confirmed that everything was in satisfactory condition and revealed nothing that could assist the investigations being made by the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation in California, it said. The second Electra was withdrawn from service at 7 a.m. today and is dug back in service after its check on Monday. The third inspection will follow, and all three Electras should be back in service by the end of next week.
