WORKS IDLE AGAIN

(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, April 1. There has been no work at the New Zealand Refrigerating Company’s works at Burnside since about 2 p m. on Wednesday, when industrial trouble arose again over the payment of waiting time to sections of workers while other sections stopped work to hold a meeting. A meeting of workers will be held at 8.30 a m. on Monday to consider suggestions by • the management. The dispute was created at the works on Wednesday and was not settled in discussions between union and management representatives.

Work ceased shortly before 2 p.m. It was resumed shortly after for the purpose of cleaning up work already started on the chaihs. That was completed about 20 minutes later and there has been no work since. Talks have been held between union delegates and the management but no progress was made.
