300 PREGNANT SCHOOL GIRLS
Police Officer Resigns NEW YORK, March 31. More than 300 high school and Junior high school girls in a city in New York State bore children between September. 1958. and the (northern) spring °f 1959, according to a complaint to the New York State Investigation Commission. - The commission, which mentioned the complaint in its annua) **port today, did not identify the city. The annua) report said the commission had brought about the resignation last June of a Police officer accused of participating In a “sex epidemic” with high school girls in the city concerned. According to the complaint received by the commission, one °f the girls with whom the police officer allegedly “was having affairs" became pregnant. "Yet the officer was continuing these escapades without any action being taken by anyone to •too him.” the commission said.
The person who made the complaint, the report said, believed the policeman had political protection The police officer had resigned a day after two commission agents arrived in his city, the report said.
