LAMB, VEAL CHEAPER
Reductions On Monday First and second grade lamb and veal prices in Canterbury, Marlborough, Westland and Nelson will be reduced on Monday—lamb by Id and veal by 2d a lb. The present price for veal in Canterbury is Id above the basic schedule price. In Marlborough, Nelson and Westland it is selling at the basic price. A new price order, gazetted on Thursday, brings the price of lamb in Canterbury 2d below the basic price, a reduction of Id. In Marlborough; Nelson and Westland it will be reduced to Id below the basic price. ' The new prices for veal will be 2d below the basic price in Marlborough, Nelson and Westland and Id below the basic in Canterbury.
