Adioway Has Injury
Adioway, which is claimed by many to be the best two-year-old of the current season, had to miss a start in the Two-year-old Stakes at Methven on Saturday because of filling in a leg. The Captain Adios gelding is not sore, nor is it thought that any tendons have been injured. It is thought possible he might have jarred a joint as a result of being worked on hard tracks. Adioway’s trainer, G. B. Nohie, hones that he will he able to take his place in the New Zealand Welcome Stakes field at Addington next Saturday.
