£4M FREEZING WORKS
Official Opening Today
(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, March 27. • The new £4 million freezing works built at Lorneville. near Invercargill for the Alliance Freezing Company (Southland) Ltd., will be officially opened torporrow afternoon by the chairman of the Meat Board (Mr J. D. Ormond). • The board has provided more than 60 per cent, of the work’s capital cost. Trial killing runs of lambs have been flowing throueh the works for the past few days. 'Most of the more than 4000 shareholders and a good number of the public are expected to attend. Special traffic arrangements have been made.
