First Grade Cricket
The ninth round of matches in the Canterbury Cricket Association’s senior competition will be concluded today. Stump scores of the first day’s play were:— Sydenham (115 and 44 for three wickets) v. Lancaster Park (145) at Sydenham Park. Old Boys (252) v. East Christchurch (69 for five wickets) at Hagley No. 1. St. Albans (170) v. Old Collegians 134 for nine wickets, at Hagley No. 2. West Christchurch-Univer-sity (114) v. Riccarton (56 and 19 for no wickets) at Hagley No. 3.
