Soccer WESTERN CLUB
The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Western Association Football Club: ’Patron, Mr W. D. Pearston; president, Mr J. Smith; vice-presidents. 29 were elected; auditor, Mr A. Andrews; treasurer, Mr C. Vanderspek; secretary, Mr B. Frankland; junior secretary, Mr A. Jemmett; club captain. Mr M. Shardlow; committee, Messrs A. Almond, F. Haydon, G. Smith, J. Storer, R. Gray and L. Marshall. Opening day will be held on March 12 at South Hagley Park' (Polo Grounds). Schoolboys' teams, 9 a.m.; open grades and juniors 1.30 p.m.
