Halberg Agrees To Go To Melbourne
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 3. The New Zealand 'three-mile record-holder, M. G. Halberg, has agreed to travel to Australia with the New Zealand athletic team and run in Melbourne’s Moomba festival meeting on March 12 and 14. Halberg said, however, that he would contest only the 1500 metres. The Australian distance star, Alan Lawrence, is flying home from America to compete in the 5000 metres, which Halberg hopes to win at the Olympic Games-
