Truce Urged In Algeria
(Rec. 11 p.m.) NEW YORK, March 3 President Eisenhower was authoritatively reported today to have suggested to President Bourguiba of Tunisia that a temporary truce in the Algerian war might serve to get peace talks under way. A “New York Times” dispatch from Tunis said that both the French Embassy and the Ministers of the Algerian nationalist provisional government had been informed of the suggestion.
