Tip Top Ice Rise To Peak Price Of 18s 6d
Tip Top Ice shares advanced sharply in Christchurch business yesterday to sell at 18s 6d, their highest price of the year. Allowing for the interim dividend of 3d last "week, the shares have gained Is 9d in two weeks. Prospects of a bonus share issue have stimulated buying. A.N.Z. Bank, B.H.P. and Regent Motors fell sharply, reflecting the fall in Australian prices earlier in the week. Smaller falls were recorded by A.N.L, E.Z. Industries and H. G. Palmer. Commercial Bank, Coles and Woolworths were firmer. Milburn Lime and Cement made a good gain to sell at 38s fid but Wilsons Cement were again easier. Ballins Industries recovered some of this week’s losses. William Cable were easier.
