Mr G. M. Rodionov, Soviet Charge d’Affaires in New Zealand, who left on his return to Russia on September 11 last, accompanied by his wife and daughter, will return to Wellington on Saturday to resume his position. Mrs Rodionov is remaining in Moscow with her two daughters. Mr N. I. Evdokeyev, who succeeded Mr Rodionov as Charge d’Affaires, will take up the duties of First Secretary of the legation.—(P.A.) Mr David Doecke, son of Pastor G. A. Doecke, of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Christchurch, will leave New Zealand on February 3 He will study for the Lutheran ministry at Concordia College in Adelaide. Mr K F Lorking, who graduated master of science from the University of Canterbury, has gained a Ph D. degree from Cambridge University where he recently completed nearly three years’ research on the corrosion of metals. 4
