M.C.C. BEATS TRINIDAD

Englishmen Win By Six Wickets (N.Z Press Association—Copyright) PORT OF SPAIN (Trinidad), January 19. The M.C.C. beat Trinidad by six wickets today. Left three hours and a half—lncluding extra time —to make 262 runs on the final day of the four-day match, the M.C.C. scored exactly 262 in 200 minutes. Trinidad, none for 17 overnight, declared its second innings closed at six for 131 about 20 minutes after lunch. The Colony side made nine for 301 declared in its first innings and M.C.C. replied with nine for 171 declared. The Surrey all-rounder, K. Barrington. was the most successful M.C.C bowler today, claiming two for 23 with his leg-breaks. Lancashire’s T Greenhough took two for 53. The top scorer for Trinidad was the opening batsman, A.
