BUSH FIRE IN VICTORIA
Attempt To Find Arsonist (N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) MELBOURNE, January 20. The Victorian Government last night offered a £5OO reward for information that would lead to the prosecution of whoever started the bushfire in the Grampians, 145 miles west of Melbourne, last week. The Premier (Mr Bolte), announcing ihe reward, said the Government was “gravely disturbed” over the fact that the fire had been deliberately lit. The lives of many hunderds of firefighters had been endangered.
