Doctorate Completed In 14 Months
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 20. An Island Bay, Wellington, man has created a record at the University of Chicago by completing his doctorate of philosophy in chemistry in 14 months instead of the usual three years. He is Dr. Robin T. M. Fraser, aged 23, who was educated at Wellington College and Victoria University, where he gained his master of science degree with first-class honours. He went to Chicago as a Fulbright scholar. At the end of January he will take up an assistant professorship at the University of Ottawa.
