U.S. DAVIS CUP TEAM
Seixas Refuses Captaincy (N.Z. Association—Copyrlgnt) NEW YORK, January 13. The former American Davis Cup stalwart. V. Seixas. has turned down a United States Lawn Tennis Association bid to have him succeed the Californian. P. Jones, as the United States Davis Cup captain, according to the “New York Journal American" tennis writer Dave Anderson, today The U.S.L.T.A. treasurer (Mr Harold Lebair) sounded Seixas out on the captaincy before leaving for tomorrow'! U.sX.TA. annual meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.
