Italian Opera Strike
ROME, January 12 Italian opera was strikebound today as staff unions sought biggei Government subsidies to suppoi’ the major opera houses. The strike is to continue for three days. A spokesman for the unions said that they were not seeking wage increases, but Government assurance of steady financing for al) Italian opera theatres.
