Chinese Child Wins £10,000
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, January 13. i Walter Wong, aged 13, an Aus-[tralian-born Chinese, yesterday won £lO,OOO in a Melbourne consultation. Walter bought the winning ticket last week while on a trip to town with mother. Last night his father, Mr P. Wong, who came to Australia from Canton 10 years ago, said: “The money will pay for the three boys’ education and perhaps a trip to China some day.”
