PASSENGER KILLED

Car Rolls Down Bank

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 13.

A shearer was fatally injured when the car his brother was driving ran .into loose metal and careered off the road at a bend on the Waingaro-Ngaruawahia highway today. He was: George Te Kapa, aged 25, of Tekau.

The driver, Mr J. Te Kapa, aged 24, and two women members of the shearing gang, Mrs V. Thompson and Miss Eva Hunt, were taken to Waikato Hospital. Their condition tonight was satisfactory.

The car which was returning from Hastings, rolled down a bank and came to rest on its roof. Rescuers had great difficulty in extricating the occupants.
