SHEARER TRAINING IN N.Z.
Australian Here To Study System (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 13. The New Zealand Wool Board’s shearer training scheme is to be studied by Mr L. Batten, an official of the Australian Wool Bureau, who arrived in Auckland by air last night. This week he is to attend a school run by Mr G. Bowen at Massey College, and will be at the South Island shearing championships at Invercargill on Saturday. Mr Batten is in charge of the Australian Wool Bureau’s shearing contests, agricultural displays and other promotions.
