TOP-SCORING BATSMAN.—The former West Indies player, B. H. Pairaudeau, was top-scorer for Northern Districts in the Plunket Shield match against Canterbury at Lancaster Park yesterday. He made 80. He is shown completing a typically aggressive stroke, a square cut off the bowling of A. F. Rapley. Pairaudeau was later caught from the bowling of S. C. Guillen, who is also a former West Indies test player.
