THE BEST LONG JUMP PROSPECT in Canterbury in recent years is A. O’Sullivan, of Ashburton. O'Sullivan showed considerable promise as a junior last year and jumped well for second place at the national titles at Napier. He has dominated the long jump event in Canterbury so far this season, and his best performance of 22ft 6in was set at the triangular meeting with Otago and Southland at Invercargill last month. O’Sullivan is shown competing at Rugby Park.
