Influence In Next Elections
Washington Democrats call Mrs Katie Louchheim “the woman who will elect the next President.”
The wife of a Washington investment consultant, Mrs Louchheim is vice-chairman of the Democratic Party and her job is to organise the increasing participation of women at the polls.
Because there are 300.000 more women voters than men in the United States, women could decide the issue, she believes. Katie Louchheim, a smart, witty and bustling blonde of 55. is working hard on the importance of women voting. She was recently asked: are women swayed by a candidate’s good looks and charm? Women were no more influenced by emotion more than men were, she replied.
