St. Albans A Beats Technical

The best individual performance in the women’s cricket competition on Saturday was the bowling of Toni Reid, of St Albana A, who took fix Wickets tor 10 runs. This is the best bowling average so far thia season. The highest score was made by Helen Steere, of St. Albans A, who scored 54 retired. Other good scores were Shirley McCaw 43: and Jean Rouse 30. Then Steere and P. Jarvis came together in a' good partnership. Jarvis showed more confidence and hit the ball hard. Steere, who has been most consistent this season, played another good innings. She did not hit the ball quite bo hard at the beginning, but scored well off M. Hobson towards the end of her innings. The Technical bowling was quite steady, but not very penetrating. The fielding war good. St. Albans put Technical in to bat again and the batting seemed improved. P.
