MAGNUM IN FAVOUR
Main Event At Wanganui
"The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, December 4. Magnum, a good second at his last two starts, looks set for a win in the Wanganui Handicap, the main race on the final day of the Wanganui Trotting Club’s meeting tomorrow. Magnum is trained at Te Awamutu by T. H. Gunning, who shifted north last season. Red Achilles, a winner over two miles on the first day of the meeting. and Dusky Valley, a placegetter in three of his four starts this season, are others expected to race prominently. The T.A.B. double will be run on the Stewards’ Handicap and the Ballance Handicap. Weather prospects are fair and the track should be in splendid order. Selections:—

Nalder. 2.45 p.m.—St. John’s Handicap: Dinnaken, General John, Nose Dive 3.30 p.m.—Ballance Handicap: Scamper. Wing Commander, Indian Smoke. 4 p.m.—Farewell Handicap: Grey Label, Rey Derby, Red Lodge.
